Paramount has released a retro side-scrolling platformer to promote the Jack Reacher sequel, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, called Jack Reacher: Never Stop Punching, a game where you play as Jack Reacher and either punch forward or do a jumping uppercut punch against a barrage of enemies that are made up of cops and what I assume are Werner Herzog clones.

It’s a bizarrely tongue-in-cheek promotion for a Dad Thriller that doesn’t have anything to do with arcade games, ‘80s culture, or any knowing camp, given that the game itself is a half-assed trash clearly put together to be more of a joke than anything seriously playable. But its existence is weird enough to get noticed, so there is that. You can play Jack Reacher: Never Stop Punching on the official Jack Reacher website, or find it on Google Play.
